SPECIFIC PROCEDURES – AIRCRAFT GARBAGES
| STEPS | PROCEDURE FOR DISPOSAL OF AIRCRAFT GARBAGE |
| 1 | After passengers have disembarked, collect food waste and the contents of amnesty bins in strong plastic garbage bags, since they will contain regulated articles and regulated pests. |
| 2 | Deliver garbage to holding compound* or to a sealed garbage trailer. |
| 3 | Remove the garbage to the quarantine incinerator on a regular basis and ensure that all garbage is properly destroyed. Garbage must only be delivered to the incinerator on days when it is proposed to destroy it. NO unburnt garbage is to be left at the incinerator. |
| 4 | Ensure that garbage is stored in sealed, lockable containers to prevent stealing. |
