Issuance of phytosanitary certificate for re-export

STEPS PROCEDURE FOR ISSUING A PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATE FOR RE-EXPORT
1 Exporter to advise the biosecurity office of the intention to export the commodity –  well  in advance according to national biosecurity legislation.
2 Exporter to advise the biosecurity office of requirements for export, considering the import requirements of the importing country.
3 Exporter to advise the biosecurity office of the intention to export the commodity –  well  in advance according to national biosecurity legislation.
4 Inspect in accordance with the destination country’s requirements as in:

Commercial consignments – Inspections only

Commercial consignments – Treatment 

5 If the consignment has not been repacked and not been subject to re-infestation,  and if the destination country requirements are the same or less stringent, inspection is not required and a re-export PC can be issued.
6 If the consignment has not been repacked and not been subject to re-infestation, and if the destination country requirements are more stringent, inspection is required and a re-export PC is issued after completion of the inspection in accordance with the destination country’s requirements.
